Federation Working
Federation Fridays – Learning Together, Growing Together
Every week, our four schools unite as one vibrant learning community. On this special day, children from across the Federation come together in single year groups, creating exciting opportunities to:
- Build new friendships
- Tackle fresh challenges
- Learn from specialist teachers
- Celebrate shared experiences
This collaborative approach enriches our curriculum and strengthens the bonds between our schools.
Key Stage 2: A Rich and Varied Curriculum
For our KS2 pupils, Federation working includes specialist-led lessons in:
- French
- Religious Education (RE)
- Music
- Computing
In the summer term, we also deliver SRE (Sex and Relationships Education) as part of our Federation curriculum. Every Tuesday, KS2 children come together again in year groups to enjoy high-quality teaching in:
- Swimming
- Outdoor and Adventurous Activities (OAA)
- Games
- Dance and Gymnastics
These sessions not only enhance physical development but also promote teamwork, resilience, and confidence.
Key Stage 1: Exploring Through Creativity and Nature
Our youngest learners in KS1 benefit from a rich, hands-on curriculum delivered by our Federation’s specialist teachers. Their Federation day includes:
- Forest Schools
- Religious Education (RE)
- Personal, Social, Health and Economic Education (PSHE)
- Art and Design Technology (DT)
These experiences nurture curiosity, creativity, and a love of learning from the very start.
